Frequently Asked Questions

You can always reach me at mail@niklashawener.dev. I check my email daily and will respond as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that I’m a one-man team and may not always be available, especially during my day job or over the weekend. I can reply in English or German.

1. The plugin doesn’t work — what should I do?

If you’re experiencing issues with one of my plugins, please email me at the address above. Include as much detail as possible like:

  • The name and version of the plugin

  • The URL of your website

  • A clear description of the issue

Important
: I can only assist with problems related to my own plugins.

2. I’m missing a feature or have a great idea!

I’m always open to feedback and new ideas for my plugins. If there’s a feature you’d like to see or a completely new plugin you have in mind, send me an email and tell me about it.
Please include:

  • A short description of your idea

  • How it would help you (or others)

  • Any examples or screenshots, if available

While I can’t guarantee every idea will be implemented, I read and consider all suggestions carefully. If it’s a good fit and technically feasible, I’ll either add it to the roadmap or explore creating it as a new plugin.

3. Can I get a refund?

As a general rule, refunds are not possible. Please read the plugin description carefully before purchasing. If you’re unsure, contact me first. I’m happy to answer your questions or even provide a free trial version. If you’re absolutely not satisfied with a purchase, get in touch and we’ll work out a solution together.

4. Do I need a license key?

No, you don’t. Once you purchase one of my plugins, it’s yours to keep, and you’ll receive updates for as long as I maintain it.
I don’t believe in subscriptions or hidden fees – we all have enough of those already. It might not be the smartest move from a business perspective, but it’s the approach I stand by.
You’re also welcome to use the plugin on all of your websites. That said, if you really like it and it brings value to multiple projects, I’d appreciate it if you consider purchasing additional copies to support my work.

5. What about compatibility with my site?

WordPress is huge, with countless themes, plugins, and extensions so I can’t guarantee my plugins will work perfectly with every setup.
However, I always test the latest versions of my plugins with the current WordPress release at the time of publishing. For broader compatibility, I also test them on a local multisite setup with various page builders including Elementor.

Important: I strongly recommend creating a backup or testing the plugin in a development environment before installing it on a live site. I can’t take responsibility for data loss or other issues the plugin might cause.

6. Is there documentation or a user guide?

Currently, there are no dedicated user guides for my plugins. In the future, any plugin that requires more explanation will have a guide available directly on its store page.
If you ever have questions about installation, setup, or features, just send me an email at mail@niklashawener.dev. I’m always happy to help you get started or walk you through the process.
